AusPozz™ Project

Leading the transition to high-performance, low-carbon building materials

AusPozz™ Project

The AusPozz™ Project is our flagship development, creating an integrated mine-to-market business that combines our world-class Toondoon Kaolin Project with streamlined processing to produce a economic high-reactivity metakaolin for the construction industry.

Manufactured from high-purity kaolin sourced from the Company’s wholly owned Toondoon Kaolin Project in Queensland, AusPozz™ is a high-performance supplementary cementitious material (SCM) designed to reduce concrete’s embodied carbon while enhancing strength, durability, and long-term performance.

Supported by a completed Preliminary Feasibility Study, extensive independent testing, successful commercial-scale concrete trials, and strategic industry collaborations, the AusPozz™ Project has established a clear pathway towards commercial production.

As demand accelerates for lower-carbon construction materials, AusPozz™ is positioned to become a nationally significant Australian-made solution supporting the decarbonisation of infrastructure and the built environment.

Project Highlights

Integrated Australian Supply Chain

The proposed AusPozz™ manufacturing facility is planned for the Port of Bundaberg, Queensland, strategically located to receive high-grade kaolin feedstock from the nearby Toondoon Kaolin Project.

The integrated mine-to-manufacturing model provides security of raw material supply while leveraging established transport infrastructure and efficient access to Australia’s major east coast construction markets and international export opportunities.

Scalable Manufacturing Platform

The completed Preliminary Feasibility Study supports development of an initial manufacturing facility capable of producing 300,000 tonnes per annum of AusPozz™.

The project is underpinned by:

  • 20-year initial mine life
  • expansion capacity through a second production train
  • secure long-term premium kaolin supply
  • scalable infrastructure supporting future market growth.

Robust Project Economics

The June 2025 Preliminary Feasibility Study confirmed a compelling commercial opportunity, demonstrating:

  • Net Present Value (NPV): A$406 million
  • Internal Rate of Return (IRR): 42%
  • Net operating cash flow: A$1.014 billion
  • Capital payback period: 2.1 years

These outcomes demonstrate the strong economic fundamentals supporting the commercial development of the AusPozz™ Project.

Supporting the Decarbonisation of Concrete

Concrete is the world’s most widely used construction material, while cement production remains one of the largest industrial sources of greenhouse gas emissions.

AusPozz™ enables significant reductions in embodied carbon by replacing Portland cement within concrete while maintaining, or improving mechanical performance and durability.

The initial production capacity of 300,000 tonnes per annum of AusPozz™, when used in concrete manufacture, has the potential to avoid up to 229,800 tonnes of CO₂-e emissions each year, equivalent to:

  • Removing more than 53,000 vehicles from Australian roads each year; or
  • Planting 3,500,000 tree seedlings every year and sequestering carbon over 10 years of growth

Building the Future of Low-Carbon Construction

The AusPozz™ Project represents far more than the development of a new construction material – it is establishing an integrated Australian supply chain capable of producing one of the next generation of high-performance, low-carbon supplementary cementitious materials.

With world-class mineral resources, proven technical performance, robust project economics, and a clear pathway towards commercial production, Zeotech is positioning AusPozz™ to play a leading role in supporting the decarbonisation of Australia’s construction industry while creating long-term value for shareholders, customers and regional communities.
